Maison Horeau-Beylot is one of the oldest trading house in Bordeaux, directed with passion and rigour for 10 generations by the same family - Pradel de Lavaux. The company has played a major role in the commercial and political life of Libourne, by exporting some of the most prestigious "Cru Classé", by producing their own wine, and also working as a "négociant". Since 2007, the estate has developed, modernised and expanded with a view of improving quality of the wines. The owners have always worked keeping the traditional methods to respect their terroir. Tasting Note: On the nose hints of wood, vanilla and dark berries. Domaine de Vedlihan Syrah A limited release Syrah, produced only in exceptional vintages. The grapes for this cuvée were harvested from 40 year old vines. The Syrah grapes were de-stemmed and macerated in tank. Ageing takes place predominantly in stainless steel with a fifth aged in oak. This is a vegan/vegetarian wine. Upon that long held belief and resolute defiance their reputation has been built. They strive to create wines of incredible value and varietal character true to their quiet corner of Spain. Tasting Note: This Tempranillo is a vibrant cherry red colour. This 100% Tempranillo (the rioja grape ) is harmonious and well structured on both the nose and palate. A delicious wine, with softening tannins and an abundance of rich ripe bramble fruits, a hint of vanilla, with a fruity finish and good length.
