Excellent value from the Rhone Valley - home of the big spicy reds. This wine has all the southern character but is packed with fruit making it most approachable. Excellent value. Tasting Note: Deep ruby red wine with shallow garnet rim. Pronounced bouquet of stewed jammy fruits with leather and mineral tones. Warm and rich on the palate with firm tannin structure but not aggressive. Lots of fruit with stewed blackberries, plums and a hint of pepper. A big wine with a soft approachable style and a warm mellow finish. Perfect food companion. Food Match: We have paired this with Pan Fried Smoky Beef with Potato & Eggs

Mont Rocher Malbec Mont Rocher Malbec comes from the Aude Valley area of Southern France. Winemakers are travelling further South in France these days in order to find untapped landscapes for which to plant grape varieties that are resistant to the increasing temperatures of the sun. The valley is a spectacular landscape to look at and the wine is equally enjoyable. Tasting Note: Malbec is to Beef what Laurel is to hardy or Salt is to pepper. They go great together and are awesome when paired together. This is deep in colour, with ripe plums, blackberries, and cherries on the nose. It is rounded with big tannins.
