Montsable Pinot Noir The wines of Montsablé are inspired by the desire to craft elegant Burgundian varietals from Southern France. Working with growers in cooler sites of lower vigour, we seek out fruit that delivers pure flavours and great balance. In the winery, the fruit is handled carefully to build texture and mouthfeel, with oak only ever used to add just the most subtle of seasoning. The result is a Chardonnay with great palate weight, bright fruit and texture while our Pinot positively sings with lifted cherry and wild strawberry fruit. Tasting Note: This classic Burgundian variety has been produced in the sunny climate of Languedoc in the south of France. Although much warmer than the cool climate of the Cote d’Or great care has been taken to ensure that it is every bit as elegant. The nose is aromatic with fresh cherries, strawberry and bramble and just the faintest hint of vanilla. On the palate there is tremendous depth to the fruit which is supported by an underlying minerality and beautifully balanced acidity. Giuseppe di Camillo skillfully combines tradition with the most modern technologies, which gives him his charming wines with the unbeatable price-quality ratio. Today the company is run by Paolo Di Camillo. Giuseppe di Camillo is today in the fourth generation, the now 100 years old winery Di Camillo Vini, which offers absolutely excellent wines! What began as a small winery with a few wines has grown into a real top-quality vineyard through the four generations. Tasting Note: Deep ruby red wine with pronounced aromas of stewed prunes and cherries. Dry with smooth tannin structure and big weight of ripe plummy fruit - black cherries and 'christmas cake' flavours. Lovely length and balance with a flavour that lingers long on the palate. Bodegas Navajas Rosado A family winery that was founded in 1918 as Bodegas Arjona, but in 1983 the Navajas family became the sole shareholders and changed its name to Bodegas Navajas. Navajas believes that the quality of the wine begins in the vineyards and for this reason they monitor and control the vineyards which belong to their growers in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Baja. Tasting Note: It has a pale pinkish, salmon-colored color, typical of rosé wines from this area. It has a soft aroma of ripe fruit and flowers that together with its light but broad taste is manifested throughout its “journey”, leaving a fresh and warm finish on the palate.
