Messer del Fauno Grillo

Messer del Fauno has been producing wine since 1875 but this Grillo is a radical departure from the venerable tradition. Grillo is one of Sicily's best white grape varieties as this unoaked white wine illustrates. Tasting Note: Delicate bouquet with notes or tropical fruits and Mediterranean flowers it is rich and full on the palate. Dry with refreshing acidity it has a nutty, citrus flavour with hints of stemmed apple. Well made wine with lovely crisp, dry finish. Food Match: We have paired this with Tuna Burgers with Sweet Potato Cubes and Quick Slaw

Tardano Grenache Our fruit is sourced from old vineyards around the villages of Leaché and Aibar in the very eastern reaches of Navarra, close to the border with Aragon. Later ripening than in neighbouring Rioja, the grapes possess a freshness and vitality that is absolutely delicious. The vineyards are a mix of bush-vine (en vaso) and trellised and a very careful grading of all vineyard parcels is done prior to harvest. Tasting Note: The resulting wine is intense, with bright red fruits, hints of spice and beautiful texture. There is a coolness to the fruit set against the irrepressible generosity of Grenache.
