Montsable Pinot Noir The wines of Montsablé are inspired by the desire to craft elegant Burgundian varietals from Southern France. Working with growers in cooler sites of lower vigour, we seek out fruit that delivers pure flavours and great balance. Contessa Camilla Pinot Grigio A delicious crisp dry and wonderfully refreshing Pinot Grigio from Northern Italy. Made from grapes grown in the Eastern Hills of Lake Garda and all hand picked. This is a delicious wine, dry with fresh melon and pear flavours and a dry crisp finish. Tasting Note: Pale lemon gold coloured wine with a fresh fruity bouquet - hints of ripe pear and apricot with a mineral background. Dry with refreshing acidity and good weight of tropical fruits, long length with a crisp clean finish Food Match: We have paired this with Spicy Red Pepper Pesto Crusted Haddock with Crushed New Potatoes and Spinach
Mas Bucados Tempranillo Vegan Más Buscados wines are made only from dry grown, bush vine vineyards in the region surrounding the town of Manzanares in the La Mancha region of Southern Spain. Selected parcels of grapes from small lots are destemmed and then crushed. Grapes cold soaked for up to 10 days and then fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tank with selected yeast strains. Then only free run wine is drained off after a period of post fermentation maceration. Oak aged for a period of 9 months and then carefully blended 10 months after harvest. Tasting Note: A succulent, juicy red bursting with ripe blackberry and spice character. Criminally drinkable, its vibrant fruit driven style and easy balance make for the perfect anytime red Food Match: We have paired this with Irish Steak with Fresh Tomato Salsa & Smoky Paprika Potatoes
The Secretary Bird Merlot JD Roussouw is a South African winemaker. He recently won South African winery of the year for his Wildeberg Winery.He makes the Secretary Bird Wines at the winery as well, from grapes he has sourced from all over the Western Cape of South Africa. The results are brilliant. Tasting Note: This is a juice, generous and rich plummy merlot with oodles of fruit, lovely spice and a lingering finish. We have paired it with Hoisin wraps this week as the Hoisin and generosity of fruit in this wine will work really well together.
