Vic Manzanos has a nose for wine, and given his Rioja estate already straddles the border of Rioja and Navarra, he thought adding a very good Navarra estate would be exciting. 18 months in barrel and a full 6 years in bottle make this a real cracker! Tasting Note: Rioja without the name and price tag, made by a master of Rioja! This wine balances oaky character with fruitiness and hints of spice with a finish as lengthy as you would expect from a classic reserva. Food Match: We have paired this with Thai Meatballs with Stir Fried Veg & Jasmine Rice

Domaine de Vedlihan Syrah A limited release Syrah, produced only in exceptional vintages. The grapes for this cuvée were harvested from 40 year old vines. The Syrah grapes were de-stemmed and macerated in tank. Ageing takes place predominantly in stainless steel with a fifth aged in oak. This is a vegan/vegetarian wine. Tasting Note: Alluring aromas of violet give way to a palate of complex fruit and spice with a robust structure. Well made delicious wine with a long lingering finish. The Mimic Shiraz Jumilla The Mimic Shiraz is unashamedly a wine which takes its style and inspiration from its Aussie counterparts and definitely sticks it to them with its big smooth, fruity style. Made in the South Eastern Spanish region of Jumilla, the Mimic Shiraz grapes are carefully harvested at the moment of optimum ripeness before undergoing pressing to extract all the juice. The must then spends an extended period of time on its skins and temperature controlled fermentation to extract the maximum fruit freshness from the grapes. After fermentation, 80% of the wine spends 3 months in French oak, before blending with the unoaked wine and bottling. Tasting Note: This is a big and fruity red from Jumilla - a really warm part of Spain. This wine is perfect for people that like big, bold and spicy flavours. Food Match: We have paired this with Lamb chops, Tzatziki and Smashed Potatoes
Mont Rocher Malbec Mont Rocher Malbec comes from the Aude Valley area of Southern France. Winemakers are travelling further South in France these days in order to find untapped landscapes for which to plant grape varieties that are resistant to the increasing temperatures of the sun. The valley is a spectacular landscape to look at and the wine is equally enjoyable. Tasting Note: Malbec is to Beef what Laurel is to hardy or Salt is to pepper. They go great together and are awesome when paired together. This is deep in colour, with ripe plums, blackberries, and cherries on the nose. It is rounded with big tannins. The finish is smooth and succulent. Food Match: We have paired this with Aromatic Beef Aloo
