Felicette Grenache Blanc Wines inspired by the spirit of place - ‘L ’esprit de lieu’. La Lisse Chenin Blanc The Chenin Blanc grape variety originally hails from the Loire Valley before it was planted near Limoux in the Haute Vallée de L ’Aude. Here in the south, but importantly planted at altitude on the cooler, abrupt hillside slopes of clay and limestone in the foothills of the Pyrenees, it is one of the latest to be picked, achieving full ripeness yet retaining a refreshing crispness. Hints of caramel and brioche lead to a densely fruity peach palate with great texture and a clean, lifted finish. Tasting Note: This ripe yet crunchy fruit gives this wine its freshness, vigour and spine and at the same time its luscious texture which is further complemented and enriched from one third vinified and matured for nine months in seasoned French oak. A delicious wine, crisp and dry with refreshing acidity and a hint of creaminess, with mouth filling ripe fruit and a long lingering finish. Food Match: We have paired this with Honey Glazed Chicken and Shopska Salad
Aurkitu Garnacha Vegan Our fruit is sourced from old vineyards around the villages of Leaché and Aibar in the very eastern reaches of Navarra, close to the border with Aragon. Later ripening than in neighbouring Rioja, the grapes possess a freshness and vitality that is absolutely delicious. The vineyards are a mix of bush-vine (en vaso) and trellised and a very careful grading of all vineyard parcels is done prior to harvest. Hand picked and vinified using selected wild ferment and whole bunch parcels, the musts are handled gently to avoid over-extraction and retain the fruit essence. Post primary fermentation, the wine is pressed to predominantly older oak in order to preserve the wild, energetic fruit profile that defines this region. Tasting Note: The resulting wine is intense, with bright red fruits, hints of spice and beautiful texture. There is a coolness to the fruit set against the irrepressible generosity of Grenache. Food Match: We have paired this with Bangkok Style Pork & Peanut Curry with Brown Rice
