Mont Rocher Malbec comes from the Aude Valley area of Southern France. Winemakers are travelling further South in France these days in order to find untapped landscapes for which to plant grape varieties that are resistant to the increasing temperatures of the sun. The valley is a spectacular landscape to look at and the wine is equally enjoyable.
Tasting Note:
Malbec is to Beef what Laurel is to hardy or Salt is to pepper. They go great together and are awesome when paired together. This is deep in colour, with ripe plums, blackberries, and cherries on the nose. It is rounded with big tannins. The finish is smooth and succulent.
