Over the years, the di Camillo family bought more and more vineyards in the best areas around Poggiofiorito. Giuseppe di Camillo skillfully combines tradition with the most modern technologies, which gives him his charming wines with the unbeatable price-quality ratio. Today the company is run by Paolo Di Camillo. Giuseppe di Camillo is today in the fourth generation, the now 100 years old winery Di Camillo Vini, which offers absolutely excellent wines! What began as a small winery with a few wines has grown into a real top-quality vineyard through the four generations. Tasting Note: Deep ruby red wine with pronounced aromas of stewed prunes and cherries. Dry with smooth tannin structure and big weight of ripe plummy fruit - black cherries and 'christmas cake' flavours. Lovely length and balance with a flavour that lingers long on the palate. Clos de Torribas Crianza Fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks – skin soak of around 15 days. The wine was then aged in oak for around 12 months. Bottle aged for more than one year to achieve more rounded tannins. The oak stands out coupled with intense spice. If we swirl the wine in the glass, we get aromas which are typical of the Tempranillo grape variety as well as fruits of the forest. Tasting Note: A gentle palate with moderate ageing. The oak is well balanced to maintain the wine’s freshness. Touches of cedar and oak. As the wine ages, smooth tannins come out in the retro nasal stage. Food Match: We have paired this with Pulled Mexican Chicken Burgers with Corn on the Cob
Domaine de Vedilhan Sauvignon Blanc Domaine de Vedilhan (pronounced 'Domaine de Ved-ee-ohn') is the estate of the Fayet family based in the village of Moussan, close to Narbonne. Uniquely, a brook runs around the estate which provides much needed water in this very hot climate, giving the wines their freshness and appeal. Vines are managed using the 'lutte raisonnée' method and terroir is a combination of limestone, sand and sea shale, meaning the vines dig deep for their nutrients and thus produce excellent quality grapes. 50% of the production from this Domaine is used for Boutinot wines. Since 1999, our winemakers have been working closely with the Fayets on all aspects of the production, from when to harvest to the exact blend or style of wines. Tasting Note: A wonderfully sunny style of Sauvignon Blanc, broad and quite tropical with delicate smokey notes, ripe citrus acidity and a richly-textured finish.
