Clos de Torribas Crianza Fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks – skin soak of around 15 days. The wine was then aged in oak for around 12 months. Bottle aged for more than one year to achieve more rounded tannins. The oak stands out coupled with intense spice. If we swirl the wine in the glass, we get aromas which are typical of the Tempranillo grape variety as well as fruits of the forest. Tasting Note: A gentle palate with moderate ageing. The oak is well balanced to maintain the wine’s freshness. Touches of cedar and oak. As the wine ages, smooth tannins come out in the retro nasal stage. Felicette Grenache Rose Wines inspired by the spirit of place - ‘L’esprit du lieu’. The wines of Terres Fidèles are created in the Roussillon and surrounding regions. The vineyard is planted on the plains and foothills in the south of France, between the Pyréneées and the Mediterranean Sea between Narbonne and Beziers. The area benefits from two distinctive climates that allow the production of a large diversity and styles of wines: the Mediterranean climate for ripe and juicy wines and the Atlantic climate around Carcassonne for more structured and mineral wines. Tasting Note: A pale salmon pink wine, refreshing, starry bright and fruity, with delicate red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry. Pierre et Papa, Red, IGP Pays d'Oc Inspired by the fanciful tales of Pierre Renard and his father, …. Pierre et Papa is a compact range of high quality whites, reds and rosés made from grapes sourced throughout Southern France. With packaging influenced by old advertising ephemera, Pierre et Papa's nostalgic feel is very much in tune with the desire to seek out honest value. From approximately 40 year old vines planted at around 5000 vines per hectare on selected plots across the Pays d'Herault region. In this sunny corner of France grapes can ripen to full maturity and express great varietal character.The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, destemmed and divided into two lots. One undergoes the modern process of hot skin contact maceration. After that, the juice goes through cool temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This procedure is carried out in order to extract and enhance the varietal’s aromatic qualities. The other lot is fermented traditionally on their skins for about ten days adding structure to the wine. At the end of the winemaking process both the modern and the traditional section are blended to a youthful and easy drinking wine. Tasting Note: The robe is intense purple with red reflections. Beautiful flavours of red berries like raspberry and cassis, amplified with slightly minty notes and a touch of spice. Smooth, round and full bodied on the fruity palate and some spicy notes in the finish. Food Match: We have paired this with Irish Steak With Creamy Mushroom & Spinach Orzo
