A family winery that was founded in 1918 as Bodegas Arjona, but in 1983 the Navajas family became the sole shareholders and changed its name to Bodegas Navajas. Navajas believes that the quality of the wine begins in the vineyards and for this reason they monitor and control the vineyards which belong to their growers in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Baja. Tasting Note: It has a pale pinkish, salmon-colored color, typical of rosé wines from this area. It has a soft aroma of ripe fruit and flowers that together with its light but broad taste is manifested throughout its “journey”, leaving a fresh and warm finish on the palate. All the grapes are hand picked at the end of September/begining of October. Fermentation is in temperature controlled stainless steel vats using natural yeasts. The wine is blended before the malolactic fermentation takes place which is followed by a further few months ageing in steel prior to bottling. Tasting Note: Bright cherry red in colour, the nose is full of ripe red berries and a touch of spice. The palate is dry and soft with juicy fruit, gentle tannins and fine balancing acidity.
